Privacy policy

Effective from 2026.

This page explains what personal data we collect through this site, what we use it for and what rights you have over it. It is written in plain language rather than legal jargon.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Jelqzko Bahchevanov, certified billiards coach in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Contact: +359 988 857 394.

What we collect

When you write through the contact form, only what you fill in yourself:

• name (required)
• phone number (required)
• e-mail address (optional)
• playing level and message (optional)
• the child’s age, only if the enquiry is for a child. We never collect the child’s name.

Visit statistics, only if you agree in the cookie banner: which pages were viewed, where the visit came from (for example a search engine), device and browser type, approximate location (city or country) and a random identifier stored in a cookie. We use Google Analytics for this. Without your consent it does not load at all. We do not link the statistics to your name or phone number, and we do not use them for advertising.

What we use it for

Form data: only to get back to you about your lesson enquiry and arrange a time. We do not send marketing messages or use the data for anything else.

Statistics: to understand how many people visit the site and which parts help them, so we can improve it.

Legal basis

In both cases, your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): for the form, by ticking the box; for statistics, by pressing “Accept” in the banner. You can withdraw either at any time. For statistics, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the site. For the form, just message or call us.

When the enquiry is for a child

The form is filled in by the parent or guardian, not the child. We only collect the child’s age, to suggest a suitable programme, and never their name, photo or any other details. Consent is given by the parent, who can withdraw it at any time using the contact details below.

How long we keep it

An enquiry arrives as an e-mail and stays in the coach’s inbox. The site does not store anything in a database. Enquiries that did not lead to lessons are deleted within 12 months.

Statistics in Google Analytics are kept for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Who we share it with

Nobody, for marketing purposes. To run the site we use services that process data on our behalf:

• Vercel: hosts the site. Processes IP addresses and request data to deliver pages and prevent abuse.
• Resend: delivers the enquiry e-mail to the coach’s inbox.
• Google (Google Ireland Limited): Google Analytics, only if you have agreed.

Some of these companies may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. This happens under the safeguards GDPR requires, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

The contact form uses your IP address only to limit spam. It is held briefly in memory, never written anywhere, and never included in the e-mail.

Your rights

• to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you
• to ask for inaccurate data to be corrected
• to ask for your data to be deleted (the “right to be forgotten”)
• to withdraw your consent at any time
• to complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg)

Changes

If this policy changes, the current version will always be published on this page.
